Tobias Berger is the Director of ARTSPACE, Auckland, which he joined in 2003 after roles as artistic director of the 8th Baltic Triennial of International Arts in Lithuania, and as curator for the Kunsthalle Fridericianum in Germany. Prior to this, he completed a MA in Art History at Ruhr-Universitat Bochum, Germany, and a Curatorial Training Programme in Amsterdam. In 2004, Tobias was
Curator for the New Zealand contribution at the Sao Paulo Biennale, Brazil. From April 2005 he will be executive director of Para/Site Art Space in Hong Kong. He has curated over 50 projects and written for various publications.
